George's Medical Test Results Part #1
The details the medical tests conducted on "George", our example subject, in the 1998 to 1999 timeframe.
ACTH Test
Test Summary |
This reflects the amount of ACTH in the blood, which is a hormone used to stimulate the adrenal gland. |
||
Test Details |
|||
Interpretation |
The 10/98 test result showed the ACTH level as normal. |
||
10/98 Test |
Test Summary |
These tests look for antibodies (immunity system soldiers designed to attack specific things) to different foods, indicating allergic reactions to foods which may not be obvious to the patient. The alergic reactions can lead to IBS and inflamation of the small intestine wall, which can lead to bacteria and fungas leaking from the gut into the body and wrecking one's health. |

The 6/98 test result was negative. |
||
6/98 Test |
Allergy to Spices
Test Summary |
These tests look for antibodies (immunity system soldiers designed to attack specific things) to different spices, indicating allergic reactions to spices which may not be obvious to the patient. The alergic reactions can lead to IBS and inflamation of the small intestine wall, which can lead to bacteria and fungas leaking from the gut into the body and wrecking one's health. |

||
Interpretation |
This test showed an allergy to mustard. |
||
6/98 Test |
Test Summary |
This reflects amino acids in urine. Amino acids are fundamental molecules that are used by all life forms to build proteins. |
||
Test Details |
Click here for a detailed explaination of this test. |
||
Interpretation |
The 10/98 test result showed low aspartic acid (citrate), which is consistent with the organic analysis test result. This chemical is used to produce ATP energy, and deficiencies of this amino acid can lead to fatigue and energy loss. Supplementing with Aspartic Acid is the easy solution. Alpha-aminoadipic acid was elevated where lysine was not elevated, indicating yeast/fungi was growing. This is consistent w/ the high fungi Pullaria Pullans antibody score, and the fact that the patient's FMS pain alleviated after taking antifungal medication. |
||
10/98 Test |
Result Pg3 and Pg4 |
Antidiuretic Hormone (ADH) Test
Test Summary |
This reflects the amount of ADH in the blood, which is a hormone used to increase the amout of water in the blood. |
||
Test Details |
|||
Interpretation |
The 1/99 test result showed the ADH level as normal. It also showed Osmolality as a little high, indicating that the blood is a littler thicker than it should be (it would rather have more water and more volume for a fixed number of blood cells). |
||
1/99 Test |
Bacterial Overgrowth in Gut Test
Test Summary |
This indicates the amount of unhelpful bacteria in the gut (not used to digest food). |
||
Test Details |
Click here for a detailed explaination of this test. |
||
Interpretation |
The 5/99 test result showed a likelyhood of bacterial overgrowth in the gut. This is consistent with the leaky gut test and the cdsa, which showed gut ecology as being problematic. To combat bacterial overgrowth, one can take healthy bacteria supplements and food to help grow the healthy bacteria used to digest food. |
||
5/98 Test |
CBC Blood Tests Test
Test Summary |
These are blood tests used to look at standard parameters within the blood. |
||

Cortisol Test
Test Summary |
This test looks at the levels of Cortisol and DHEA-S in the body. These are two very important hormones that regulate digestion, adrenaline, and other hormones. |
||
Test Details |
Click here for a detailed explaination of this test. |
||
Interpretation |
The 10/98 test result was, for the most part, normal. |
||
10/98 Test |
Dental Filing Reactivity Test
Test Summary |
This blood test indicates which dental filing materials that the immunity will like, and what it will attack |
||
Test Details |
|||
Interpretation |
The 2/99 test result suggested a number of composite materials that are compatible with the patient. |
||
2/99 Test |
Digestive Stool Analysis w/ Parasitology (CDSA) Test
Test Summary |
||||
Test Details |
Click here for a detailed explaination of this test. |
|||
Interpretation |
The 5/98 test result showed a likelyhood of bacterial overgrowth in the gut, yet was negative for parasites, candida fungas, and maldigestion of fats (e.g. pancreas not secreting enzymes to digest fats). This was consistent with the bacterial overgrowth test result. Overgrowth of non-helpful bacteria in the gut crowds out healthy bacteria needed to digest food, and can lead to inflamation of the small intestine wall (which was seen with the leaky gut test), which can lead to gut bacteria and fungas leaking from the gut, which affixes to joints, is attacked by the immunity system, which leads to inflamation and pain. Also, excess bacteria and fungas in the blood, oversensitizes the immunity system, which leads to more allergies. Healing the gut is extremely important when combating cfs/fms. |

5/98 Test |
Test Summary |
This test involves taking a DMSA challenge drug and then collecting urine and look for mercury and other heavy metals. The DMSA binds to these metals, and helps pull them out of the body via the urine. Organic mercury from dental amalgams can be seen this way. Inorganic mercury from fish is often not excreted in urine, and is instead excreted in hair and nails. This test is somewhat dangerous since DMSA can pull mercury out of the body, have it hit the liver and kidneys and do damage. If one does take DMSA, it is recommended that they first take a small does (e.g. 50mg) to see if they tolerate it well, then take 250mg or so 2wks later to make sure a medium dose is ok; before taking a 1000mg challenge dose. The author found that the DMSA gave him pain in his illiac valve (1inch to right of belly button). This test is not for the faint of heart. |
||
Test Details |
|||
Interpretation |
The 3/99 test result did not see mercury in urine, and suggests the patient did not have organic mercury in his body. |
||
5/98 Test |
Test Summary |
This test shows heavy metals that are excreted out of the hair folicle. It also shows the percentage chance that they metal was picked up from something outside of the body, such as shampoo. This is based on a hair sample that is sent to a laboratory. |
||
Test Details |
Click here for a detailed explaination of this test. |
||
Interpretation |
The 10/98 test result showed excess mercury being excreted out of the body. |
||
5/98 Test |
Result Pg2 and Pg3 |
Result Pg4 and Pg5 |
Fatty Acids Test
Test Summary |
This test shows fatty acids within the body. |
||
Test Details |
Click here for a detailed explaination of this test. |
||
Interpretation |
The 10/98 test result was for the most part normal. |
||
5/98 Test |
Ferritin Test
Test Summary |
This test shows the amount of ferritin in the body. This test is used to look for hemochromatosis (excess iron). |
||
Test Details |
|||
Interpretation |
The 10/98 test result was for the most part normal (no hemochromatosis). |
||
5/95 Test |
Test Summary |
These tests look for antibodies (immunity system soldiers designed to attack specific things) to fungi. |
||
Test Details |
Click here for a detailed explaination of this test. |
||
Interpretation |
This test showed excess antibodies to a Fungi called Pullaria Pullans, impling that this was present in the blood. Since antifungal medication was extremely useful in eradicating fms pain, this tests suggests that Pullaria Pullans, growing of the patient's spine and being attacked by the immunity system, was causing the fms pain. |
||
1/99 Test |
Result Pg3 and Pg4 |
Glucuose Test
Test Summary |
This test looked at glucose (sugar in blood) levels at various times during the day, after meals, and during times of fatigue. It was done with a little glucose measuring kit that one can buy at the drug store for $40 which are typically used by diabetics to monitor their blood sugar levels. A score below 70 or 80 indicates the body is not regulating sugar well. Low sugar levels induce fatigue. |
||
Test Details |
|||
Interpretation |
These levels, for the most part were normal |
||
1/99 Test |
Growth Hormone Test
Test Summary |
This test looked at Human growth hormone. |
||
Test Details |
|||
Interpretation |
This test was normal |
||
1/99 Test |
HLA-B27 Test
Test Summary |
This test looks for the HLA-B27 gene that causes 95% of the cases of ankylosing spondylitis. |
||
Test Details |
|||
Interpretation |
This test was negative for HLA-B27, yet the patient's symptoms were similar to ankylosing spondylitis (AS), implying a similar mechanism to AS. In 95% of the cases of AS, the HLA-B27 gene produces the HLA-B27 protein which sticks to the spine, is attacked by the immunity system, and leads to inflamation and pain. In the author's case, it appears that fungas was taking the place of the HLA-B27 protein. |
||
1/99 Test |
Test Summary |
This test looks at many of the parameters within the immunity system. |
||
Test Details |
Click here for a detailed explaination of this test. |
||
Interpretation |
This tests showed the immunity system as being upregulated, which means that it looked like it was battling something. Antibodies to the Epstein Barr virus was also present, which implys that perhaps the body was fighting this v virus. This virus has been associated with Cfs, yet is believed to not be the cause of the Cfs, yet a mediating factor. |
||
1/99 Test |
Result Pg1 and] Pg2 |
Result Pg3 and Pg4 |
Test Summary |
This shows how well the liver filters the blood. |
||
Test Details |
Click here for a detailed explaination of this test. |
||
Interpretation |
The 4/98 and 12/98 test results show liver Phase I accelerated, and liver Phase II not keeping up with the excess free radicals produced in phase I, leading to excess toxins in the blood, which can increases the sensitivity of the immunity system, which leads to allergies. The 4/99 test shows a balanced liver with Phase II keeping up with Phase I, yet Phase I is still accelerated. |
